Charity Events & Fundraising

From time to time your child may be asked to bring in a few euro to school to help support a fundraiser, or you as parents may be asked to bake! We hope you will support these endeavours.

FUNDRAISING FOR OUR SCHOOL

We are always seeking new ways to raise much-needed funds for our school. If you have an idea for a school fundraiser or would like to get involved in running a fundraising event, please make contact with the PSA at psa@nwetss.ie

FUNDRAISING FOR THE WIDER COMMUNITY

Our students have helped to raise awareness about local and global issues. They have organised outreach projects inviting the community to see presentations, showcases, hear from guest speakers and support fundraisers. Charities that have engaged with these include WH Five Loaves, BARSS, Amnesty International Ireland, The Rise Foundation, The DSPCA, Suicide or Survive, and others.  Here is a flavour of what our students have achieved:

Pieta House
Students took part in a Fancy Dress Friday event to raise funds for Pieta House.

Barrettstown
We held a Winter Wonderland day in aid of Barretstown before the winter holidays where students and staff dressed up in their best winter jumper or outfit and the student council arranged some fun games and activities to celebrate the last day of term.

Unicef Ireland
The school community completed a 5km "Walk and Talk" during Wellbeing week to raise funds for the Turkey and Syria earthquake.
